The Brampton Fell Moss is a hidden jewel which cannot be seen from the road. The plans for the restoration of the moss are being developed but the scope is given here.

We will be developing a restoration plan alongside the community with advice from Lancaster University.

The project is funded by a sizable grant from the Natural Food Management Scheme administered by the Environment Agency. A business plan its being developed. The main stakeholders are Brampton Fell Farm, Brampton 2 Zero and the Environment Agency. Education will have a priority interest and the local secondary school William Howard School is committed to including the scheme into its curriculum. An update of the scheme will be posted later.
